When the quietly quixotic good Queen Bee Hatches a plan against you and against me Before you fall know you can call the one who’ll see it through When the Man Beast of Og is on the prowl And he comes at you with a fearsome growl Just lock up shop, don’t call the cops, would they know what to do? Call Blue, Captain Blue, he will know what to do Captain Blue, Captain Blue, and he’ll do it for you Captain Blue, Captain Blue, he will know what to do Captain Blue, Captain Blue, and he’ll do it for you Call Blue, Captain Blue, he will know what to do Captain Blue, Captain Blue, and he’ll do it for you Captain Blue, Captain Blue, he will know what to do Captain Blue, Captain Blue, and he’ll do it for you Captain Blue, psychedelic commando Captain Blue, psychedelic commando Captain Blue, psychedelic commando Captain Blue

I went down to the centre of my town Where life is brown and no one comes around And from a plot – from a vacant lot I saw the spot where a vision was wrought Queen Bee, high lady of the hive mind Queen Bee, high lady of the hive mind Her eyes were many and her sting was long And her brood they buzzed in the early dawn She rose in the air on her wings and graces And life itself was singing her praises Queen Bee, high lady of the hive mind Queen Bee, high lady of the hive mind I let my fall, I let myself go I let myself succumb to the ebb and to the flow I let her tickle my tongue with her yellow hairs And ripple my skin with honeyed care Queen Bee, high lady of the hive mind Queen Bee, high lady of the hive mind Queen Bee, come and go with me We can spend the summer bumbling under every tree Queen Bee, come and go with me I’ll be your drone – you can set me free Queen Bee, high lady of the hive mind Queen Bee, high lady of the hive mind

When I see you blue I see me, too And I am you When I see you grey I see the day You walked away When I see you shine I drink the wine And we are fine When I see your sky I know that I Am going to cry When I see you blue I see me, too And I am you And I am you And I am you And I am you

May all your blues be groovy, may your song have a little swing May you always be the star of your own movie May you have a little love for everything And you’re drowning in liquid colors and you say nothing anymore moves me I sincerely hope that when they come all your blues are groovy May all your blues be groovy Kids, remember the message of Captain Blue – harm no one who isn’t harming others. And may your sorrows all be small and, when they come, may all your blues be groovy. And you’re drowning in liquid colors and you say nothing anymore moves me I sincerely hope that when they come all your blues are groovy May all your blues be groovy

about

Soundtrack for the book Captain Blue & Queen Bee: The Continuing Adventures

Imagine a superhero cartoon from 1968 that was more far-out than 60s Spider-Man. Now imagine that hero was a real person living in the modern world.

Back in 1968, Captain Blue was a high-flying, psychedelic commando battling a scourge of B-Movie monsters left over from 50s experiments. He even had his own cartoon! Now, he’s an old man making his living off the convention circuit, the creatures he used to fight protected by human rights laws and the citizens he swore to protect thinking he’s part of the problem, not the solution.

But when a mysterious note is passed to him, it opens up everything again, and our hero must figure out what it has to do with Queen Bee, High Lady of the Hive Mind – his once-nemesis, now ex-wife – and how he can protect law-abiding citizens from new terrors emerging.

Come flip out, skip out and trip out with the world’s first and only psychedelic commando and his bip-bop buzzing partner – Captain Blue, Psychedelic Commando and Queen Bee, High Lady of the Hive mind!

Jim Jackson is a modern day 1960's Historian and innovator the way he moves around several genres with utter ease and just perfect timing.
